I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
